  • By expanding a horizontally compressed image back to its native aspect ratio at projection, a wide-screen image format can be realized without letterboxing.
  • The resulting bokeh exhibits a distinctive elliptical shape instead of a circular form, producing a smooth and cinematic background separation around the subject.
